Mental Health in the Hood (MHIH) provides a range of services, educational programs, and workshops that cater to different needs. MHIH has a proven track record of collaborating with the non-profit organization OLASTEO to conduct trauma-informed workshops for young people. Additionally, MHIH has organized mental health and wellness workshops for professionals who work in corporations located in South LA AJCC of Los Angeles County. MHIH is renowned for conducting workshops with young people, corporate professionals, and administrative teams. Our booking consultation includes an assessment of your organization's needs, a site visit, and a comprehensive workshop outline tailored to meet your organization's goals. Teenage workshops — ages 12- 17

At MHIH, we acknowledge the various challenges that young people encounter. We offer workshop discussions on a wide range of topics, including peer pressure, substance abuse, identity issues, insecurities, and traumatic experiences. Our aim is to provide support and guidance to young people in need to help build healthier mindsets and lifestyles.

Young adults — ages 18- 24

Entering young adulthood can be a smooth or challenging experience for different individuals. We provide workshop discussions that cover various topics such as anger management, substance abuse, self-worth, coping with traumatic experiences, resolving conflicts, managing relationships, and family dynamics. Our goal is to engage in open and sometimes difficult conversations, address obstacles, and assist individuals in developing a healthier mindset.

Adults — ages 25 and up

As adults, we continuously grow and strive for a better lifestyle for ourselves and future generations. This involves confronting our childhood traumas and being open to constructive change. We provide workshops covering various topics such as anger management, situational abuse, setting goals, overcoming emotional barriers, and dealing with childhood and generational trauma. Our goal is to facilitate honest and sometimes difficult conversations, address obstacles, and encourage a healthier mindset.
